Here at the Joe Martino Counseling Network, we want to reassure you that we are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely as it relates to our ability to offer you the best mental health care possible. In addition to all of the potential health concerns associated with this outbreak, we believe it is likely that many people will suffer mental and emotional duress during this time. Because of this, we think it is essential for us to be open and providing services to aid our communities at this time.
Additionally, we want to be proactive in protecting clients, staff, and the public. To that end, we have instituted some guidelines to provide the highest possible care to you and keep everyone as safe as is possible.
We have increased our cleaning and sanitizing protocols. Therapists and support staff will be regularly engaging in cleaning and sanitizing the offices. Each staff member is also being instructed to wash hands between each client interaction, after receiving a payment from a client, etc.
As part of our response to these unprecedented times, we are asking that only people essential to the appointment come to the office. If the client is a minor or needs transportation, we are requesting that the person bringing the client consider waiting in the vehicle if the weather or situation permits. Our lobby will remain open. We ask that anyone using the space utilize good social distancing skills. Please leave siblings at home or in the care of another adult. Please do not show up more than 10 minutes before your appointment.
We have suspended coffee services at this time. I know many of you appreciate the coffee, and at this time, we are struggling to find enough single-serve cups to keep up with demand. We believe this decision to be in accordance with the state government’s directions.
If you or anyone in your family has any of the listed symptoms in the forty-eight hours leading up to your appointment, please either reschedule or consider a telemedicine appointment. Please do not come to your appointment sick.
If you do not feel comfortable coming in for your appointment, we offer everyone telemedicine. In telemedicine, you can enjoy the benefits of therapy from the comfort of your home. Please call the office to set this up.
We know that there is genuine fear about what is currently happening and what it might mean for the future. We are hopeful that we will be able to serve you and our communities well as we get through this situation together.
If you have any questions, please reach out to our office.
